The Fashion Shop "Las Gatas" and the Fusion Food & Bar "Boardriders" in Corralejo, Fuerteventura joined forces to create a smashing evening at their premises. The fashion show was followed by a Mr. & Mrs. HURLEY contest which added a lot to the atmosphere. The night was closed with a very sensual dancing party. Look for yourself...

Recently OKAPI found on a finca around Majanicho, between heaps of waste, a bunch of animals like 74 dogs, 7 cats, goats, cheap, parrots, hens, turkeys and ferrets. The owner of the finca, Manolo, was happy to co-operate – as he did before when we went out to solve a problem – and an 8-step rescue plan was generated, together with “Twinkle Trust”.

The first action was at the end of April and included the castration of 7 cats with the help of “Twinkle Trust”, an association that is dedicated to the castration of wild cats.

1 carrot

3 small apricots without the stone

½ tomato

1 chunk of celery (100g)

½ banana

300g watermelon without seeds

Pájara is one of the oldest towns in Fuerteventura and was a very early settlement from Betancuria. It survived complete destruction during the Arab invasion of 1593 when all of Betancuria was reduced to dust. The town takes its name from the hen pheasant, as the coat of arms shows. Look carefully and you will see a very ancient symbol, the 2 serpents. These have been slightly adapted but are named Oroborus or tale devourer. It shows a snake eating its own tale, which has a mystic meaning of “the circle of death and re-birth”, which is thousands of years old.

Already very early she got interested in painting and learned various techniques in the Academy of Fine Arts of Bilbao. Although Anna has her reputation of an excellent Flamenco dancer, she manages to surprise her audience every time. And this time she did it again… If you can’t meet passion on holiday, then where would you? Blue Jazz Bar: the opening of a trendy bar with live music was on the 15th of July. Many people attended - young and older - and really enjoyed the great atmosphere. You can find the bar in a side street of the Corralejo mainstreet; turn in at the restaurant Poco Loco and go in the direction of Waikiki. It's on your left-hand side.
